Like the Mille Miglia, the Motogiro raced across public roads following the famous red arrows, banned in 1957 as being too dangerous. The Italians called it “ La sfida temeraria” – the reckless challenge. And that was on 175cc ‘bikes – imagine if it had survived until the 70’s when superbikes arrived.
